Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” – Hebrews 11:1

Hello WCC and Pembroke, Ontario!  We arrived on July 2nd to a very warm welcome, lots of help to unload a very full U-Haul and we even had cake too! J There are not enough words to thank those who have helped us with the transition of this move.  We thank you for the hands that worked to unload the truck, made or provided food, gave cards or notes, sent messages and especially the many prayers that have been provided for us during this time of change.  Without God, life is just chaos. But with Him, there is always a deep peace through the chaos. What a difference that makes for every single day.  For this I am grateful.

Trista’s Treasures was started several years ago as my way of sharing the things on my heart or the overwhelming blessings from God that I am not good at publicly sharing.  That being said, I am NOT a public speaker in any way.  Being a “Pastor’s Wife”, it took me many years to figure out that this was ok.  Even though I am shy, I can still have a voice.  Please note I did said “shy”, that doesn’t necessarily mean “quiet”! 😉  I can sometimes find my voice through writing.  Nothing too deep, but things I am thankful to the Lord for, things that bring me joy or sharing things I know everyone can relate to.  So, you may see me at the piano on occasion, but you probably will not see me on the platform, or leading a group.

That being said, you will find me working with and alongside the group, lending a helping hand when needed.

Joni Erickson Tada says:  “Faith isn’t the ability to believe long and far into the misty future.  It’s simply taking God at His Word and taking the next step.”

So WCC, although we do not know what the future holds, we do know that God has given us this time and this place to journey together for a purpose.  So let’s step out in Faith, believing with our whole heart that we can know for certain God has great things in store! We can trust that being faithful to His cause will grow our faith in Him, and one another, as we work together for the Kingdom.   We look forward to serving together with you in the days ahead.

“Faith as small as a mustard seed will move mountains, move mountains. Faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains by the power of God.  Believe what Jesus said is true. Believe He meant it just for! Wait and see what God will do as you pray, pray, pray!” – Doug Horley
