IMPORTANT NOTE:    Starting today, KidsVenture will take a break over July and August.  However, there will be activity packs available.  Be sure to pick one up at the back of the sanctuary. We are also having difficulty staffing the Nursery over the summer, so please be aware that there may be some Sundays when the Nursery is only available for parents to use.  See Sharron Luloff if you would like to help.

ZION HILL CAMP – Please be in prayer for the Children’s Camps, this week starting today, and next week.  Family Camp begins on Sunday, July 14, with a Dinner at 5pm. (See Eleanor or Pastor Kevin if you plan to attend.)  Free Opening Concert after dinner with “Jody Cross” at 6:30pm.  Evening Services from Monday to Saturday at 7pm.  Join us!  Speaker & Bible Study during the week: Rev. A. J. Plaizier from Yarmouth, N.S.  Worship Leader:  Merri-Lynn Raddatz.

MATTRESS PROJECT IN NICARAGUA –Please help by saving your outer milk plastic bags and placing them in the box in the foyer by the coat rack.

From January 1 to April 30, 2019, our church has collected 1,013 milk bags!

THE GRIND NEEDS HELP!   Volunteers needed to prepare & serve meals, give donations (directly to The Grind) etc.  Please contact Yvonne Kendall at or call 613-735-8729.

SHORT TERM MISSION – Matt & Lindsay Hutten will be going to Kenya         in the Fall.  If you would like to support them, please indicate “Short Term Mission” on your offering envelope.  More importantly, please pray for them as they prepare as well as their ministry while there..  A more detailed itinerary will be available in the near future.

SLAVE LAKE BASKETS – Please note…for today only….there are baskets in the foyer that you can purchase.  The proceeds will go back to Slave Lake Wesleyan Church so they can purchase more craft materials.  Prices as marked but can be discussed.

GREAT NEWS…our numbers are growing!  Ask Bruce, Gloria or Bev for more info to find out how you can be part of this exciting challenge! We especially need Nursery workersto fill in a few spots over the summer.  See Sharron Luloff.  Please try to complete your Plan to Protect if you have started but not completed the process.

CHILDRENare special here at Wesley Community.  We do have a “Plan to Protect”in place to protect our children & volunteers. Don’t forget to sign your children in and out!

samaritan’s purse disaster relief in renfrew county …

HELP NEEDED –  We have this great experienced team (Samaritan’s Purse) here, equipped and ready to go but only a handful of volunteers. There is volunteer fatigue in the immediate area due to many weeks of fighting the flood,  but we have this short window of opportunity right now to make a difference They can come to the Whitewater Wesleyan Church, Cobden at 7:30 Monday to Saturday (including July 1) and sign-in, make a lunch (supplies provided) and attend the orientation session. Once they attend the orientation, they don’t have to do it again, just show up for 7:45
